In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar; add eggs and mix well.
3 In another bowl, mix together dry ingredients.
4 In a 3rd bowl, mash the bananas.
5 Alternate adding bananas and dry ingredients to the cream and egg mixture. Mix between each addition.
6 Add buttermilk and mix well.
7 Pour the batter into the 2 loaf pans and bake for 1 hour or until a toothpick comes out clean.
8 Serve warm with butter.
