Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1 can whole tomatoes (28 ounce can(s))
  • 1 can chili beans (28 ounce can(s))
  • 1 large bell pepper, green (chopped)
  • 1 medium onion (chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 3 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt (salt to taste)
  • 1 can tomato paste (optional)
Instructions

    Brown ground beef and drain.

    Mix together all ingredients in slow cooker, cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours, stirring occasionally.

    Thicken with tomato paste as desired.
    Stir in a few tablespoons at a time until you get your desired thickness

    Serve hot, topped with diced onions and shredded cheddar cheese. Don't forget the corn bread.
