(3/4 inch thick)

cream cheese with chives
chives
(snipped fresh)

vegetable oil

ground black pepper, coarse

chicken broth
(or white wine)

white rice
Instructions

Sprinkle both sides of pork chops with pepper, rubbing it lightly into pork.

Cook pork in a hot skillet in oil for 8-10 minutes, or until slightly pink near the center. Remove pork and keep warm.

Start cooking rice according to package instructions.

Carefully add the water to hot skillet.

Add wine or broth to skillet and heat till bubbly.

Add the cream cheese. Using a wire whisk, heat and whisk over medium heat until cream cheese is melted.

Serve sauce over pork with rice. Sprinkle with snipped chives.
