1/2 cup fresh sourdough starter
1/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup warm water
1/4 cup melted butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups* all purpose flour

120 grams fresh sourdough starter
57 grams sugar
6 1/5 ounces warm water
60 grams melted butter
6 grams salt
250 grams* all purpose flour

Sourdough Dinner Rolls Directions

  1. In a stand mixer bowl, add ingredients.
  2. Knead on medium for five minutes using the dough hook until the dough becomes elastic (if kneading by hand, knead for ten minutes).
  3. Place in greased bowl and cover with a towel and allow to rise overnight (8-24 hours).
  4. The next day, preheat oven to 350. 
  5. Divide the dough into eight equal parts and put in a greased 9x13 pan. 
  6. Brush top with coconut oil (or melted butter) and allow it to rise until doubled, approximately one to two hours. 
  7. Place the rolls into the oven for about 25 minutes, or until they start turning golden brown. 
  8. Allow to cool and enjoy.
