4 boneless pork loin chops, 3/4 inch thick
1/4 cup water
3 ounce package cream cheese with chives
Snipped fresh chives
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon coarsely ground pepper
3 tablespoons chicken broth or white wine

Peppered Pork with Chive Sauce Directions

  1. Sprinkle both sides of pork chops with pepper, rubbing it lightly into pork.
  2. Cook pork in a hot skillet in oil for 8-10 minutes, or until slightly pink near the center. Remove pork and keep warm. 
  3. Carefully add the water to hot skillet.
  4. Add wine or broth to skillet and heat till bubbly.
  5. Add the cream cheese. Using a wire whisk, heat and whisk over medium heat until cream cheese is melted.
  6. Serve sauce over pork with rice. Sprinkle with snipped chives.
